Ivy seems much more domain-focused, cleaner, and more powerful for what it does.
For that reason, I prefer to "think in Ivy" whenever possible.

In the long run, I think Gradle + Ivy will make Maven obsolete anyhow,
so from a project development standpoint too, it seems like Gradle
might as well use Ivy terminology from the start (when possible).

As said in the other comment. For 0.6 the whole dependency DSL is up for reviewing and discussion. I think this will be very important.
