Description |
From the javadoc for File.listFiles(): "The array will be empty if the directory is empty. Returns null if this abstract pathname does not denote a directory, or if an I/O error occurs." We have a number of places in the code where we do something like: for (File file : getBaseDir().listFiles()) { // do something }When there is an I/O error in the underlying native system call for listFiles(), it will return null and then when we attempt to iterate over the null object, a NullPointerException occurs. We should try to catch this and throw a cleaner error than an NPE. |

As announced on the Gradle blog we are planning to completely migrate issues from JIRA to GitHub. We intend to prioritize issues that are actionable and impactful while working more closely with the community. Many of our JIRA issues are inactionable or irrelevant. We would like to request your help to ensure we can appropriately prioritize JIRA issues you’ve contributed to. Please confirm that you still advocate for your JIRA issue before December 10th, 2016 by:
We look forward to collaborating with you more closely on GitHub. Thank you for your contribution to Gradle! |
