 Description   

Use case:

In an exemplary huge build, we can configure memory settings (heap size) very generously so that the build works even if full build is invoked (as opposed to run some parts of the build, utilising configure-on-demand, etc.). However, this setting does not work on certain weaker laptops because the generous memory setting makes the laptop enter 'swapping' mode very early and builds get really slow.

Potential solution:

It would be nice if I could configure memory settings / heap settings relative to the local resources.

As announced on the Gradle blog we are planning to completely migrate issues from JIRA to GitHub.
