 Description   

The problem is, that while Gradle does pick up the property, and does inject it into the project, the BasePlugin which adds and configures the lifecycle of the build (called from the JavaPlugin), is hardcoded injecting the 'integration' status after the property you defined was injected (See: org.gradle.api.plugins.BasePlugin#configureConfigurations).
