Description |
I am trying to use TestNG as the unit test framework for a simple Java jar project. There appears to be no way of using the TestNG jar since it requires a classifier in the dependency specification. |

Apologies, I thought I had done a search for this being a duplicate issue. I failed. I have to say though that the workaround is not great. The Ivy people just need to fix this issue asap – it isn't really a Gradle issue is it. |

I agree, the workaround is not nice. Therefore the issue is scheduled for 0.1.3. I think Ivy supports classifiers via extra attributes. But you have to change the url pattern of the resolver to make this work. I'm not sure. I have to investigate further next week. |

"org.testng:testng:5.8:jdk15@jar" works fine as of 2008-06-17. |
