Description |
With the upgrade to Maven 3 libraries in Gradle 2.5 publishing nonunique snapshot versions no longer works. Although we have some code to explicitly deal with this, it doesn't quite work right. The version number in the metadata and artifact name lack timestamps but the <versions> are incorrect, causing subsequent resolution of these published modules to fail. It doesn't look like there is any easy solution to this. Support for this is completely gone in the Maven 3 libraries and according to Maven docs this setting in the POM is simply ignored. We should probably deprecate this feature by ignoring this property and issuing a warning when users attempt to use it. |

As announced on the Gradle blog we are planning to completely migrate issues from JIRA to GitHub. We intend to prioritize issues that are actionable and impactful while working more closely with the community. Many of our JIRA issues are inactionable or irrelevant. We would like to request your help to ensure we can appropriately prioritize JIRA issues you’ve contributed to. Please confirm that you still advocate for your JIRA issue before December 10th, 2016 by:
We look forward to collaborating with you more closely on GitHub. Thank you for your contribution to Gradle! |
