Description |
The Gradle User Guide PDF at [1]http://www.gradle.org/docs/current/us... has a persistent flaw in many of its code samples. The PDF displays code samples in about a 60 character window, but many of these code samples are much wider than 60 characters, so they are truncated in the PDF display. If this is printed, that information is just gone. If someone is reading this online, and they're devious, they can copy the text from the code sample into an external editor, and then all the code will show up, but that's a pretty nasty hack. Make this information more accessible by formatting those code samples to display properly. |

Note that I'm also seeing this truncation in normal text, but it's most common in code samples. Every page or so I find a line is truncated on the right. if I paste the text of the paragraph into an external editor, I find that it's truncated 5-10 characters. |

As announced on the Gradle blog we are planning to completely migrate issues from JIRA to GitHub. We intend to prioritize issues that are actionable and impactful while working more closely with the community. Many of our JIRA issues are inactionable or irrelevant. We would like to request your help to ensure we can appropriately prioritize JIRA issues you’ve contributed to. Please confirm that you still advocate for your JIRA issue before December 10th, 2016 by:
We look forward to collaborating with you more closely on GitHub. Thank you for your contribution to Gradle! |

Yes, this is still an issue, and makes it awkward to use the PDF version sometimes. |
