[GRADLE-2494] Footnotes are not shown alongside the annotated text in the PDF userguide Created: 21/Sep/12 Updated: 10/Feb/17 Resolved: 10/Feb/17 |

Description |
In the PDF userguide the footnotes are always at the end of the chapter, not at the footer of the page where the annotated text is present. This is not really handy as you have to scroll several pages to reach the footnote and go back. Also when you reach the footnote you may have forgotten that you have read the annotated text and think it is orphaned (which is what I wanted to report first until I observed that the footnotes are always at the end of the chapter instead of in the footer of the respective page). Example: Annotated Text on page 82, Footnote on page 87 in the 1.2 PDF userguide. |

As announced on the Gradle blog we are planning to completely migrate issues from JIRA to GitHub. We intend to prioritize issues that are actionable and impactful while working more closely with the community. Many of our JIRA issues are inactionable or irrelevant. We would like to request your help to ensure we can appropriately prioritize JIRA issues you’ve contributed to. Please confirm that you still advocate for your JIRA issue before December 10th, 2016 by:
We look forward to collaborating with you more closely on GitHub. Thank you for your contribution to Gradle! |

Thanks again for reporting this issue. We haven't heard back from you after our inquiry from November 15th. We are closing this issue now. Please create an issue on GitHub if you still feel passionate about getting it resolved. |
