Description |
I'm using the SimpleCalc example from http://www.antlr.org/wiki/display/ANTLR3/Five+minute+introduction+to+ANTLR+3. I copied the grammar into src/main/antlr/SimpleCalc.g Here's my build.gradle: apply plugin: 'antlr' apply plugin: 'java' repositories { mavenCentral() } When I try to build, gradle complains: :generateGrammarSource bug/src/main/antlr/SimpleCalc.g:1:1: unexpected token: grammar error: Token stream error reading grammar(s): bug/src/main/antlr/SimpleCalc.g:10:1: unexpected char: '@' The same grammar compiles just fine using the org.antlr.Tool directly from the antlr jar files. I've now tried the antlr plugin on various grammars, from the most trivial to modestly complex and it consistently fails for every single one. I also tried specifying the latest antlr version thus:
dependencies {
antlr 'org.antlr:antlr:3.4'
}
Unfortunately, this doesn't change the behavior either. |

I guess the underlying problem is support for antlr v3, which is a known issue. Feel free to mark as duplicate or link to a more appropriate issue; at this point, lack of antlrv3 is a blocker for me. |

As announced on the Gradle blog we are planning to completely migrate issues from JIRA to GitHub. We intend to prioritize issues that are actionable and impactful while working more closely with the community. Many of our JIRA issues are inactionable or irrelevant. We would like to request your help to ensure we can appropriately prioritize JIRA issues you’ve contributed to. Please confirm that you still advocate for your JIRA issue before December 10th, 2016 by:
We look forward to collaborating with you more closely on GitHub. Thank you for your contribution to Gradle! |
