 Description   

When you use Copy tasks, you can rename the files in a convenient manner. The directory names however, remain unchanged. An overloaded method would suit this purpose so one can apply the rename pattern to directories as well.

E.g. you want to copy
/src/main/resources/template/* to /src/main/resources/generated/*
/src/main/java/template/* to /src/main/java/generated/*
and so on

This could be achieved with a rename method that has an apply-to-directories flag so that existing scripts won't break.
Or a renameDirectory method so you can rename directories but not files.

task("copyAndRenameDirectories", type: Copy)

{ from "/src/main" into "/output" rename("template", "generated", true) }
