 Description   

Maven POMs allow for the following:

<repository>
    <!-- ... -->
    <snapshots><enabled>false</enabled></snapshots>
    <releases><enabled>true</enabled></releases>
</repository>

Yet there is no equivalent functionality within the repositories { } block of a gradle build script.

Please consider exposing such an option through the DSL, for example:

repositories {
    mavenRepo name: 'repo',
              urls: "http://my.org/repo",
              snapshots: false
}

As announced on the Gradle blog we are planning to completely migrate issues from JIRA to GitHub.
