 Description   

The eclipseWtp task creates the file .settings/org.eclipse.wst.common.project.facet.core.xml which looks like this:

<faceted-project>
<fixed facet="jst.java"/>
<fixed facet="jst.web"/>
<installed facet="jst.web" version="2.4"/>
<installed facet="jst.java" version="1.4"/>
</faceted-project>

It would be nice if the version of the "jst.java" facet would default to java.sourceCompatibility.

Workaround:

eclipseWtp.facets.find

{ it.name == 'jst.java' }

.version = 1.5
